GM made a stupid mistake when they closed Saturn. Our Vue is the best toad we have ever owned and we don't have to run through the gears, etc, just throw the toggle switch we put on the 2 amp fuse and go.

What do they have to do with this thread. No one accused either of them!

I own a 2011 Chevy Cruze. I just got off the phone with Chevrolet Market Division in Detroit, phone number 800-950-2438. They assured me that my Cruze is towable four wheels down.
We need to be talking to someone in Chevy engineering, not marketing! Marketing is sales - and just what the heck do they know! Only what they need to know to sell a vehicle, and usually if you ask a car salesman something technical, they get a glassy eyed stare in their eyes and nothing comes out of their mouth when they open it. If something did come out, it would be wrong. And it doesn't matter what car company we are talking about.

Wolfe10,

I do not have a reference to the Supplement as it was in the delivery package that I got with the Cruze and I had to return it to the dealer when I got the Malibu. I should have made a copy but did not. It was Supplement 2 to the Owner's Manual.

On Edit: Brett, look at NormPayne's post on this thread. He may also provide a source.

I'm pretty sure that was a tounge-in-cheek comment.

Besides, Obama took over GM, so it would be his fault - although I'm sure he'd blame it on someone else, as always.

If the Chevy "Cruze" owner's manual gives RV Towing guidelines, as it does in our Chevy Equinox, then it should be Toad Tow-able, and if there is a tranny failure, GM should cover the repair. Provided the guidelines were followed.

A call to GM's technical dept should confirm the manual RV Towing Guidelines. JMHO

It's called Supplement to the Chevy "Cruze" owner's manual. They normally issue them when a change to the manual has to be made, and it is often in the form of a recall or technical service bulliten. It supercedes the manual, and is often in the form of a sticker page to put into the manual and a sticker that would replace a sticker on the vehicle if required. The funny thing is that nothing is listed on the NHTSA's web site yet. But that could take a while. Guess we are stuck in limbo until someone actually gets a copy of the supplement that they can post here.

Mine was meant to be tongue and cheek too. But it has been side that I have a dry sense of humor.
