We got a Fault Code 14 yesterday on our Onan Gold Marquess 5500 Genset in our FW. We had ran the Gen about 4 hours yesterday to supply power to a tv and some fans in our house during a power outage and when the power came back on we unplugged the two extension cords while the Gen was still running. About 5 seconds later the Gen shutoff. It has restarted several times but keeps shutting down after running 15-45 minutes. I found some posts regarding this fault code on gas generators but not propane/LPG. Anyone have a suggestion on what might be wrong since the Gen doesn't have a carb?
Problem solved. Not sure why we were getting the Fault Code 14 because it seems to be fine after adding a little oil. Apparently it shuts off when it gets a little low.
