Does anyone else have the urge to buy a used M2, drop in a 500 HP big block diesel engine and extend the cab into an 8 foot coach like the FL70 based Western Haulers ?

I don't want an HDT. They are too big and too heavy. But I do want an HDT engine.

I've got a heavily modified Superduty. It works, fairly well actually. Though I'd like more power.

Is it just me ? I go through this every year...

All it takes is money.
and time.
I would really like to put a Cummins/Allison in my Tioga.
I have the time.
The money is the problem!

No midlife crisis. Just wanting to travel in a very comfortable manner. Also thinking that a truck smaller than my Superduty might be nice for everyday driving, ie F150 with Ecoboost.

My trailer weighs 13k. I could pull a toad for when I want a smaller vehicle when travelling.

Are you having a mid life crisis? I suppose with enough time and money it could be done.

Ditto, find an ext cab or 4 dr lo-pro FL or IHC and put some serious power in it. The problem is... I haven't been an O/O for over 35 yrs. I don't know how the newer trannys work! I drove 2 stick 5/4s, 4/4s, 5/3s etc. I had one rto 10 spd. Craig

When I started researching how to build my truck I was convinced to go with the M2 112. With this model you could get engines in the range of 450 HP, 1500 ft-lbs of torque. You will see in this link the DD13 is available now for the M2 112.

You might see if the DD15 might fit. You will probably have to move up to the Columbia to get the DD15. This engine will make the largest pickup diesel engine a little toy.

On edit, it is available now for the M2.
