I'd spend the extra $350 and get the Honda.

I purchased 2 of the Champion Generators from Sam's Club this summer for $499.00 each. I also purchased the parallel cable that allows me to run them together for 4000 watts of power. Total investment including cable around $1100.00. I have the Polar Cub 9200 btu AC. I have been unable to get the AC to run on just one. I use both generators to start AC and then turn to Econ mode. Will run AC 7 hours on 1 tank each generator. Off Econ will fun AC and other appliances. during cooler weather just use one. So far I have been pleased given the cost vs watts that I got.

All of you need to re-read radio1960's post. Our "red" generator runs our Polar Cub 9200 without any problems. Not being able to do that with a single Champion is a deal-breaker for me. No thanks to that kind of "how good it works". You get what you pay for.
