It would depend on whether I had full hookups or not. If FHU, guest room rules for the tent. No FHU, they 'd have to pretend I wasn't there.

No FHU, and I don't use my bathroom. So you know no one else will.

When we went camping with family, and they were in tents... they used the CG bathrooms. They never even asked or suggested they come in and use our toilet.

Ryan if they knock on your door at 2AM are you going to let them in to use the bathroom? I don't think so. Let them use CG out house/showers. JMO

If they are tenters then they are use too the CG facilities. We ran into the same thing but when the males wouldn't sit and the walls got wet, and I got tired of detailing the bathroom,No one but no one uses our facilities now except us. Just keep saying the babies are sleeping, my wife is sleeping, etc. Good Luck

If we have FHU they are welcome to use ours until bedtime, then it's the woods or the CG bathrooms. If we don't have FHU's then we don't even use ours except in the middle of the night.
Anyone who camps with us knows my hubby's "no turning 2 rule and that applies to EVERYONE". It has become the family/friend joke.
When we tent camped we always used the CG's facilities no matter who we camped with. I wouldn't dream of using someone's bathroom unless it were an emergency. I'm just weird that way

When we're camping, my wife and I both use the cg bathrooms except at night. It's part of camping....especially with a tent.

When we first started camping in a tent, I didn't really understand why friends were so reluctant to let us use their RVs toilet. Now that I own a TT, I don't want anyone other than immediate family using our toilet. I tell people we are camping with as soon as possible that the toilet is off limits. In a few circumstances, we've done a "women only" rule (guys use campground facilities).
When people ask me about "RV'ing", I never fail to tell them to not ask to use another persons RV toilet.
As to the original poster's situation, if you invited the other people along without letting them know as soon as possible about the toilet, you are kind of stuck letting them use it. At a minimum try the "women only" rule.

Let me see, you're going campng with family but you don't want them to use your bathroom. To me that's rude and if I were the tent campers this would be my last trip with you. So I say think about this first, do you enjoy their company? If you don't want them to go with you anymore then by all means tell them to use the campground restrooms. I would never tell my brother he couldn't use my restroom or anything else I own. I value family more than that.

Why would I expect THEM to use campground facilities when I'd never do that myself. I always leave my trailer unlocked at night so tenters in my party can have free access to the facilities any time they like. Can't imagine ever doing it otherwise. During the day is no different. Many campground restrooms are not the cleanest places in the world and some of them just plane smell. Some RV parks aren't much better.
