I was waiting in line, Warren AFB, Wyoming to be inspected before entering the base. I stepped out to remove my sweatshirt, then went back into the RV. I was able to move closer to the inspection point when my wifes phone rang. It was our daughter calling to say someone had found my cell phone and looked in my address list and found ICE, In Case of Emergency...I have my daughters phone listed there. Come to find out my phone dropped to the ground when I got out to remove the sweatshirt and when I moved forward with my rig, the person behind me saw a phone laying on the ground, went into my address list and called the ICE number.
Add ICE to your phone number so in case somethig happens like losing the phone or an accident, someone can call a relative and contact us if needed.

your lucky the person behind you honesty. We lost my sons and no one turned it in. He was at mcdonald and when he arrived home he remembered it and went back and looked and asked mgr. no one claim to find it. So I sent a message to his phone stating this ( This phone is digity traced by gps . If you find return without question asked, or will be proscuted ) guess what after an hour I called and they answer. It was an employee at mcdonald.

I have three ICE listings in my phone, one for my DW and one for each DD. They are listed as ICE Spouse, ICE Daughter 1, ICE Daughter 2. Luckily there hasn't been a reason for anyone to use them yet.

Is ICE a phone application or do you just manually type in your emergency medical information to your iPhone?

I dropped my phone someplace - same thing - the peron finding it called my ICE who emailed me. When I got the email telling me it was LEFT AT THE STORE WHERE I DROPPED IT. That made it easy for me to get - rather than chasing down the person who found it.

I have ICE on my phone, and when camping we also carry a slip in our wallets that tells ICE info, where we are camping, medical info, and the fact that there are pets in the RV that would require assistance. We make one up for each of us to carry specific for each campground during the trip.
Obviously, if we are on a VT in another city/state/country, who'd know based on drivers license etc that we are staying local? If something happens while DW and I are in the toad that is so bad I/we can't communicate, at least there's a shot as someone in a hospital or police would be able to tell family where the RV is, rescue the pets, etc.

It is not an app...simply use the initials ICE and then add the number. Almost all First Responders, Police, Fire and any emergency personnel look for a phone and that information in cases of emergency when the person cannot respond. Everyone should have that info in their phone. Thanks for the reminder as there are a lot of folks that have yet to get the message......Dennis

Our phones are old school I guess........
In 'contacts' it has "Emergency Number"
Never heard of I.C.E. so wouldn't have known if I found a phone.
Man, I'm feeling old & out of touch
