Is there someplace I can obtain a listing of which channels reside on which satellites on DirecTV? I thought all of my programming came over satellites 99, 103 and 101.

I'm getting all my channels but the system keeps popping up a message saying it can't load my channel guide because the dish is not aligned properly or correctly selected.

This is what I use. The url is for 101, you can change the url to 99 or 103 for the others.

Mine comes over 101. Only sat I need. Locals there too.

I believe it's on both the 101 and 119 satellites.
Apparently, a 5 LNB dish does not "see" 101, if the receiver is tuned to a HD channel on the 103 satellite. In that case, the Guide comes from the 119 satellite.

A SL5 receives guide on 119

Thanks guys. Very helpful info. I think I'm going to swap my 5 LNB dish in for a 3 LNB model. 119 is a bit away from the others (103,101,99) making it more difficult to get everything needed thru there trees. Can you think of any downside to this?

I'm currently in Grants Pass, Ore and I cannot find the 119 satellite at all, and I still have the guide. There are 4 of us here with the same problem (119 blocked by a hill top) but we are getting the guide from somewhere.
I read the posts on the DB Talk site quoted above, and didn't understand any of it other than the flame war going on... Doesn't really matter, I'm leaving Thursday and will be setting up somewhere else.

I confirmed with DirecTV today the following:

A SL3 receives guide on 101
A SL5 receives some of the guide on 101 and the rest of the guide on 119.

If 119 is block, your DVR will eventually start popping up a "Problem getting guide" message. THis message pops up continuously causing you to miss part of the regular picture on certain channels. Channels not getting it's guide on 119 will not show the message.
