We stayed at the KOA there and it was nice. Close to I81 and quiet

Stayed at the Wytheville KOA before, pretty cool there. They have an indoor puttputt, batting cage, gameroom, and short order grill. They have a great karaoke set up too. Don't remember the bathrooms, I believe we stayed in a cabin.

Also a Good Sam Park is available in Wytheville. We had an expandable and some years back we found the KOA to be tight.

Fort Chiswell makes a great stop for a one nighter. You won't even have to unhook.

I have stayed there and it is just fine, also at a campground at an exit about 8 miles North, who will give you the discount if you have a KOA card although it is not a KOA.

There is a nice little NF Campground 10 mi outside of Wytheville, called Stoney Fork, some sites have water & elect, & there is a dump station.
