Thinking about selling my Class C and Buying a Class A. First off I bought the Class C for the overhead and the Being lower overall because we were mainly camping on the side of a mountain hunting,fishing and Prospecting. Because of health reasons I think I'm done hunting(had a slight stroke) and can no longer hike the hills. So I'm thinking a Class A would be Just the ticket. Hate climbing to the back with the hump. Will be camping more in CGs now. Longer distance traveling(thinking of snowbirding). My C is a 89 Jamboree 26' and has done what I wanted it for. Thinking about something 30-32' would suit the bill. How do As in that size drive compared to my C. My rig is all over the road cause its a Ford E350 and Ford has never had a steering box that wasn't loose. Thinking of mid 90s.

try to buy something on the new ford chassis 1999 or later with 19 inch tires or the workhorse after they improved the P-30/32, maybe about 2002.

Workhorse chassis or newer Ford chassis are much better than the older. I went from a 27' C to 36' A with no problems, although the chassis was pre-2000 and also had the steering issues.
2002 Keystone Cougar 286, 8,400lbs loaded, pulled with a 2004 F150 Supercrew, 5.4, 3.73 gears. Retired and enjoying life

I wouldn't go any less than '36 foot--there is no advantage to the four foot shorter model and many advantages to having the longer coach and wheelbase. When it comes to Class A's it just doesn't make sense to give up the length--you'll eventually wish you had gone as long as you can afford.

Bugett will no allow anything newer than mid 90s. So I'm stuck with something around there. Had a 79 wana Begal Class A and liked it. Wife thought we should go back to a TT so I did. Hated towing a TT after having a M/H so went with the Class C. Just got to find what I can aford. Tired of being worn out when on the road, 1-2 hours from home to hunt or fish ain't bad.But 8-9 hours fighting the wheel is not my idea of having fun.

Go to the dealers and try driving a few Class A's. You'll see a difference in how various brands handle. Some RV parks will not permit an RV over 10 years old. Others will not permit an RV over 30' long. Figure out where you're going to be camping and what their rules are. We went from a 5th Wheel to a Class A. I love it.

A slide in combination with a good floor plan will make life very nice. Just make sure you can get to the bathroom when the slide is in.

I would suggest getting a new enough one that you can have a slide. We could give up 3-4 ft if we had a slide. Our class A is 34 ft and we spend 3 months in it during the winter but a bigger living area would sure be great.

No RVs over 10 yrs old???? Sounds like a good place to stay away from PERIOD! Do they have a dress code as well....(ie: no jeans, no flannel?)
You will like the Class A....you have to make the decision on length. While it doesn't take much more to drive a longer coach...you have to park it,navigate it, wash it, wax it....all which can be objectionable to some folks
