I cut a 8" piece from 2*6 board
6"x 8" glued Velcro on the back and stuck it to carpet in front of the Pedals (brake and accelerator)
now my heel rests on the board NOT the floor, much more comfortable for me
for me raising my heel has the same effect as lowering seat, but kept my line of sight/vision view, where I wanted it
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

I have the pedal extenders, it seams like my problem is my foot is not lined up in line with the gas pedal, I was thinking about moving the seat a little to the right. Would this work. Roy

Our seats adjust up-down-back-forth. But the seat is too big for me from front to back, and too high off the floor. (5' 7" tall) I use a toss pillow behind me which helps alot. Will have to try the wood block velcroed to the floor trick to have something to rest heel on. Driving with one foot in the air is hard on the knee.

The block of wood for a foot rest sounds like a good solution to my DH. My only request is that it be mounted more securely to the floor. Don't want it to come loose and jam either the accelerator or the brake in an emergency. That could spell disaster! Interesting to see that others have problems with this as well since I could not find it addressed on the forum. We were beginning to feel like the Class A was maybe not a good fit for us because of this. Thanks for all the input!

I had the same problem and I just zip tied a short piece of 2X4 to the gas peddle and it's been great ever since. It's been on the for 7 years now and since I'm not growing, I guess it'll stay there until I sell the coach.

I have the same problem with my 2009 Hurricane... My size 6-1/2 shoe does not work for the pedal sized for a size 12. Shoe keeps slipping off the gas pedal.
Appreciate the hints above... can see I got a project lined up!

That is the same thing I did. We took a 3,400 mile trip and we were on the road about 8 hours each day we drove. After the second day knowing how far I still had to go I had to do something. The board on the floor made driving much more comfortable.
I also checked to make sure the brake peddle would not contact the board if by chance the board slid forward.

Ford does an electrically-adjustable pedal set for the Taurus and (I think) the F350 truck. Whether one of those would adapt to the F53 set-up, I'm not sure. I don't know how the brake pedal to master cylinder linkage works with one of those sets.
I'd sure like to get a double-jointed, telescopic steering column like the transit buses I used to drive had. DW, who's a foot shorter than me, can't reach the controls on our rig, no matter how we adjust the seats. Her feet don't touch the floor in the front passenger seat. We also have the issue with the seat cushion being too long from front to back.
Our back-up, if I became incapacitated, is a phone call to one of our sons-in-law and a one way ticket from Seattlw to wherever we're stuck!
