Actually open to suggestions as to where to cross at. Time is a big factor as we can only go for 2-3 wks, looked at mapquest and Windsor shows up as crossing point ,we are about 20mins North East of T.O
Thanks

We now take I-75 and cross at Windsor. We get an early start and go to Lexington staying at the Kentucky Horse Park CG which is open all year round on night one. You can de-winterize the RV there at the dump stations and take on water. There is only power at the sites in the winter. That said, there are plenty of truck stops and WalMarts in the smaller places off I75 so you have choice if you hit bad weather. From there, you are one long day or a second day depending where you are headed in FL. The drive through Atlanta is ugly whenever we have gone through so try to avoid peak hours there.
I would avoid 79/77 due to the hills and limited truck stops / places to stay for a good part of the way. It is prettier than 75 and we use it in the summer but have doubts as to what you might find in the higher parts of West Virginia and Virginia weather and road wise. You might also find yourself in a "lake effect" snow squall anywhere from the Niagara area until you are well south of Erie PA headed to that route.
