Seems to be one of two modes for these either they almost never roll up, like ours takes a lot of wind before it rolls up, or it rolls up at the slightest breeze, like a hummer going by to close to the sensor. Our sensor is on the roof I have heard the early ones the sensor was on the end of the roller. There is also a switch on the control box down in a bay that allows you to disable the auto feature while still allowing the inside or remote switch to work.

Mine does the same thing. On the control box on mine, there is a little toggle switch on the side of the control box that will turn off the wind sensor.

I also have a roof sensor, looks like a mushroom on top of the coach. There's also a weather pro awning adjuster box for mine in the storage compartment just under the awning.

Our current 5ver has one it and is made by dometic. Ours has a sensor on the front arm of the roller. To disarm the auto retract function you press a couple buttons on the remote don't remember the sequence instructions are on the back of the remote switch. I would suspect a faulty sensor but would contact dometic to make sure.
