On our 06 Alfa See Ya, water continues to run in the toilet after it has been flushed. The only way to stop it so far is to turn off the pump. It looks like all the valves are in the back. Any ideas.

Hi

I will try but I am going om memory and lately that has been short.

The toilet has a rubber type of band that holds a shell that wraps the lower part of the toilet. Remove the band, back of toilet, hold down the foot lever and remove the shell. That will expose the works there if I remember right you will probibly find a broken connector or spring, I think spring.

Also if you go over to the Alfa site on the yahoo forums someone there would be a better help than me on this subject.

Check with Thetford.........they had some 'bad' water modules and would send replacements free.

Remove shell........disconnect water supply line and then remove water/vacuum breaker assembly......two screws IIRC....one holds return spring in place. Stubby Phillips screw driver

You can see the assembly on Thetford web........product manuals

Help me out here. You mention "two screws IIRC" what does IIRC mean?

Thanks

Replacing the leaking water valve is not difficult at all. You should be able to do it with the toilet in place, just by reaching behind it. I had to replace mine because it was leaking, it took me longer to round up the few tools needed than it took to remove and replace the valve.

Try this site

http://www.americanrvcompany.com/

Click on the "toilets" section

Find your toilet. The site has owners manuals and some of them list trouble shooting items. They also sell replacement parts.

Also, try giving them a call, they were helpful when my Sealand did the same as yours.

By the by, Mine is different that yours, but I took mine apart, cleaned up fittings and connections. found a loose connection and problem was solved.

We've always shut the shore water off and turn the pump off when we leave the rv for any length of time and was glad we did.
