Friend has the Stop Engine Light and about to start a 2000mile trip.
We changed oil as it was over due and the light went out on the way back from the garage. The light is on again this morning. Its about the mid 40's here this morning.
Looked at the manual and nothing mentioned.
Any suggestions or tips on resolving this as she needs to get on the road in the next couple of days.
Is there any way to get a fault code out of the computer. It is a 2008 Allegro with a Cummins ISB 6.7
Thanks?

Is the coach on a Freightliner chassis? Is it equipped with the Light Bar Control Unit (LBCU) on the dash. The diagnostics package in the LBCU may be able to isolate a code. Otherwise, a trip to a Cummins shop may be in order.

Yes it is a Freightliner chasis and it is equipped with a LBCU.
Looking for a way to retrieve the codes if available on the unit.
Thanks, Gary

Check the coolent level. Low is one of the things that will turn on a stop engine. If not low it could be a bad sensor.

The coolant level in the overflow tank is at the FULL.
The engine oil level was below ADD yesterday so we topped it up and drove 5 miles to have the oil and filters replaced and the the warning light went out on the drive back, and the engine oil level is at the FULL this morning.
The transmission oil level cold is well above the hot level. I have not checked the transmission level hot.
The motorhome has 11,500 miles on it.

We are parked in an RV park in Arizona City, AZ if anyone can recommend a mechanic we might call for help. Why do these things happen on long weekends?

OK, I think we are all set.
We found the reference in the chasis manual for tracing all engine (and other) parameters and found zero active engine faults, so we are going to go.
FYI, the flow charts are not labeled in the manual as such, but once found, they are very helpful.
Thanks for all those who replied.

Hi i had a similar problem on my Monaco. It finally ended up being the battery terminal connections on the house batteries. I know it sounds funny but that fixed the problem. worth a try
