Very sorry for your loss. Years ago we lost a cat via leash strangulation. We just had it neutered and tied it with a leash to the garage door. Next to the garage was a wooden fence that separated our yard from the neighbors. We drove off to do some shopping and when we returned I was horrified to see the leash stretched out over the fence. It was apparent what had happened. The poor cat tried to jump over the fence, not realizing the leash was too short and hanged itself. It took quite a while to get over the guilt feelings.

Sorry to hear. mine came close. he was on a leash and I was holding him by the collar. I went to reposition my hand on his collar and he thought it was time to get off. luckily I was going slow and all tht happened was the rear tire skidded over his leg, and scraped some hair off. we usually wait a day or 2 to take him for a ride, because he gets excited when we first get to a campground. I thought he was ready, gues not. this was a few years ago.

So sorry to hear about your loss!

I can't even imagine how horrific that was for your sons - to lose a pet heartbreaking enough. To see it occur in this manner is even more tragic. So sorry to hear this, my sincere condolences.

I can't even imagine the horror. You and yours have our profound sympathy.

We don't use a golf cart, but sometimes Teddy wants to ride on the big handicap scooter. Ok, NO LEASH, NEVER, NOPE, NOT HAPPENING!!!!!

Thanks for the warning.

Very sad. Knew a guy who had his bird dog chained inside the pen because she was getting out. She still jumped out but the chain was about a foot short to let her reach the ground.

I find it is hard to think for the pets all of the time myself.
