We use the "belt and suspenders" route of antifreeze and blowing out for two reasons. A lot of PopUps have some weird routing for the water lines. A lot of dips and twists. These can hold water even when blow out. So we use antifreeze in all the lines and then blow them out. Why? well because we found the DW & I were sensitive to the taste of the anti freeze and some times it would take weeks to get rid of it so we couldn't taste it come spring. Still got a little taste but nowhere near what we got leaving the antifreeze in the lines.
on our pop-up i disconnected the hose from the water tank and put it right in the jug! seemed to work.
i blow the water out with the compressor first because i believe any of the remaining water dilutes the antifreeze. it makes sense to get the water out first, then only pure pink stuff is in the lines.
