There are other good manufacturers out there so damning the entire industry doesn't make sense. If any of you have ever bought a new home you know that there are going to be issues with a stick home and an RV home is no different. In the construction business it's called a punch list and every builder from the the guy putting up garages only to the guy who puts up skyscrapers has had to deal with their punch list.
The OP's point is that his particular brand seems to have more than its share of issues. Some offer the point that Tiffin makes more rigs than anyone else so there is more likelihood for there to be problems. That point would seem to be a valid defense of Tiffin. What does seem to be the biggest concern about this particular manufacturer is that the issue of cracked radiuses came up years ago and it is still a problem. Fixing it after the fact may be fine, but the design should be changed so that it doesn't happen in the future.

NOW! That,s a very true story. How many companys this big can u pick up the phone and talk directly to the owner???
Actually I have had him phone me and leave me a message asking for me to return the call to him to discuss my slide problem.I was very impressed to say the least.
Tiffin owners love to use this excuse like it means something, heck I have called both Newmar and Enterga numerous times and have had no problems speaking with the owners of either company. I have also spoke with them at various shows.... why should they not be available? Just never have figured out what the big deal to that statement is.......

Works for me not for consumers that needcustomer support.
I'm particularly amused by the wag whinning he expects a class A to be as trouble free as his Subaru. I own a Subaru and it's a fine machine, but to compare that to a Class A with all the inherant complexities and systems of such a machine is like believing in the easter bunny. Get real dude!!
OK everyone, I'm looking at 2005/2006 Tiffin 37DB. I thought that Tiffin was one of the better quality motorhomes on the market. Now I am begining to wonder what to buy!

It is.
It actually isn't. Never mind the roof cracks, rotting floor problem, sagging roofs, sagging floors under the tanks etc.. I found their general quality to be very poor. I had over 120 things fixed on mine before I sold it. Mine spent over four months in service over the two years that I owned it. Every trip out meant a trip back to service.
When on my roof I discovered that a large part of my roof wasn't even sealed. You could see where the sealer tapered out half way along the seam like the guy doing the work was running out and didn't get back up there with a new tube to finish the job. How about three different screws holding the same thing? I have many examples of crummy quality like this that I could go on all day about.
When I found out that it needed to go back to Redbay which is approx. 3,000 miles from me I sold it. I've heard many stories about people spending up to four weeks waiting there. I'd personally rather be sitting around a campfire with family!

Adam,
Is that the big benefit for owning a Tiffin, the many trips to Red Bay and having a cup of coffee or should I say Kool Aid with Bob, the owner? Buy a Tiffin and join the cult...I am with you, I never what to see my dealer or especially the factory again after I purchased it. I expect it be built right the first time. but in reality every new motorhome needs to be "tweaked" for minor things so I will allow one visit to the dealer for minor infant repairs after that it is sitting around the campfire and enjoying what I paid for.
The rubber cracked on my Nike's. I'll never buy a pair of Nike's again.
My Kindle didn't work right. I'll never buy a Kindle again.
My diet coke was flat when I opened the bottle. DONE WITH COKE!!
My MAC actually crashed when I overloaded it with photos. Back to HP for me.
The strap broke on my purse. I'll never buy another Dooney and Bourke.
There was an electrical glitch in my car and it wouldn't start one day. Traded it in on a different one.
Amazon delivered five packages to me and one was crushed - so I'll never buy from them again.
My Tahoe had to be recalled for a glitch. Got rid of it the next day.
It's a darned good thing that humans can't be returned so easy! Let's all jump on the things that go wrong in life - or with our "stuff" - and forget all the good stuff about them. Like the great service, instant repacements, free service, etc., etc., etc.

Tiffin has approved local dealers and shops to do warranty work over and over again. All you have to do is ask.

And then call the company when you have a problem..You will have a problem sometime sooner or later. Oh, wait, you can't call, they are out of business.
Tiffin isn't perfect and Bob is the king of blue sky, but they are still in business. Would I buy another? Not sure, but I would consider Tiffin at the top of my short list. We have never been stranded anywhere, had a slide (or awning) not open or close, and no roof or paint or structural issues.
