I have just bought 2004 gently used ford excel ts pw. Love it so far.
I had to replace the antennae, however the pw bible does not have the samsung instructions for the tv itself. Antenna head seems to have installed quite easily however my challenge is to get it to work with the tv. I clicked on tv, then clicked on ant/cable selection then on ant, then on auto programming. Just fuzzy screen after it runs through the auto progamming. Something I am missing any of you folks can help think this through?
Thanks a bunch,
Rosie
Do you know if it is a newer TV or the one that came with the Van ?
Was it working before you changed the antenna ?
TV broadcasting went digital a couple of years ago so if it is the original TV from 2004 it won't receive without an analog to digital converter.
OH geez, it is the original tv, we thought changing the antenna head was all we needed to do. Will look into the converter now.
Thanks a bunch, that makes sense to me now since I felt I was doing all I could to select programming for the channels.
If you happen to own a smaller HD digital television, say up to 19", at home. Take it out to the motor-home and hook it to the coaxial cable from the antenna output of the Winegard connection panel inside. Do not forget to turn on the amplifier (small button on panel). There never is any information for using the television in the RV manual. That is what the television manual was for.
Do the signal search on the menu on that television. Everything should work and you may wantto replace old analog TV in the motor-home. We actually use a 19" HD television by placing it on the dinette table. It rides under the dinette with a pillow case pulled over the screen.
I suspect your investment for the new antenna will be worth it since it should have a better range than the original antenna.
