I have another question. Is there another Class B that has the cab over bed, but does NOT have a slide out and is no longer than 24 feet?

There are several manufacturers that build units similar the view. BTW the View is considered a Class C. Most of the newer smaller mh's will have a slide to increase inside space. This is especially true on those based on the Sprinter chassis (small diesel). Fulltiming in a 23-24 ft with or without slides will be an experience.

A friend of mine fulltimed in a View for a few years. She mostly boondocked, too.

A good friend of ours and her young dog have been fulltiming in a 23' GMC (1976 Crestmont -IIRC) and a lot of that is flatspotting and boondocking. More than a year when we last met. No slides. Nothing fancy, just what she needs. She actually traded off a larger coach that was too big and giving her mechanical trouble.

Be sure you press the dealer real hard to prove to you the OCCC of the exact unit you have in mind; options included!!
Mostly they will try to hide this number because it embarrasses them and sometimes leads to a lost sale.

OCCC (Occupant & Cargo Carrying Capacity):
As of June 2, 2008, the Federal DOT mandated a new weight label for motorhomes called the OCCC label. This replaces the previous RVIA CCC (Cargo Carrying Capacity) label and redefines how it is calcuated. OCCC is defined to be the difference between the motorhome GVWR and its unladen weight (ULW), but it requires that the ULW include a full tank of fuel and propane. Thus the OCCC gives the weight you have available for all passengers, gear, food, clothing, etc., plus any trailer tongue weight carried by the coach.

The weights on the label must be for the particular motorhome, as configured for delivery to the dealer. Further, if the dealer installs additional accessories, he must provide an updated label. This assures the owner knows what he/she is actually getting in terms of carrying capacity.

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness,and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

There are plenty of C's like the View that have a cab over bed.

My 2004 GWV Classic Supreme was one of the last B's that had a cab over bed. But IMHO it was only usable for kids. They stopped making them a couple years ago, so apparently there wasn't enough of a market.

Actually, theirs was an Itasca Navion. But they are almost identical. She did say they really had to watch their weight (cargo weight, that is ).
