I am looking to add an outlet for our soon to arrive sleep number bed. Looking to tap off 120 volt somewhere and mount the new outlet under the bed storage area. Any ideas? Alpine 3500re

The slides moves in and out. Going to be tough to tap an inside outlet and deal with the movement. Looking at the floorplan you have the bathroom sink right next to the br wall. There is probably an outlet by the sink and a wire could easily be pulled through the wall to a new outlet on the br side of the wall.

It can be done, but you need to come up through the stationary floor from the belly and use flex line to the wall of the bed. Just make sure you have full clearance where you go through the floor for all slide positions. I was looking at where the hydraulic lines went through the floor to the pump below for a good path to run the wire.

I have had good luck running the Wiremold Cordmate II peel and press channels (Lowes) along the floor or walls and terminate into a external mounted 120VAC Wiremold receptacle. These are designed to hide your cords and cable along the inside walls. Although these are peel and press on their backs I always use a couple of small wood screws to hold them to the wall after I stick them in place.. These are paintable so you can match your decor just fine. After they are mounted you can snap the lids down after your cables have have been placed inside them.

Looking at your floorplan the bathroom area or the closet area would be the most likely place to find an existing 120VAC receptacle. You may have to carefully cut a small hole near the wall to get to the bathroom or closet area but that will dress up real good using the wiremold. Just fill in with RTV sealent. I am kinda surprised this trailer doesnt have any night stands next to the bed. That is usually a fifth wheel has a 120VAC receptacle mounted low on the bed side where the bed electric blanket will plug in at. If your mattress has an electric blanket hand trace that cable back to where it is plugged in.

When you raise your bed up for the bed underbed storage you might find a good path to another 120VAC source.

I suggest you be extra careful removing the existing RV Trailer surface mounted 120VAC receptacles as most are what folks call "widow makers" as they are a press the wire into a knife type connector to tap the wires. When you move the existing wires they sometimes break off where the knife cut into them. They won't be the standard screw terminal like you will find at Lowes.

I usually pull RV Trailer receptacles out and replace with standard 120VAC electrical receptacle but sometimes you won't have enough slack in the diasy chain wiring scheme the trailer may be using.

It might work out for you to use the wiremold described above and just place a long extension cord inside plugged into a 120VAC receptacle on one end and just laying loose on the other end where the mattress will plug into it. I did this idea for running a long 120VAC extension cord from the Inverter mounted close to the battery to the home entertainment center location for emergency power use.

You should find everything you will need to do this project youself at Lowes electrical depatment. WIREMOLD C210

Are you sure there aren't some there already. Our Montana has a double outlet on each side of the bed. Not easy to see though.

I have an outlet on the wall close to head of the bead and I simply used a flat extension cord plug, drill a hole in the side of the frame under the bed, put the pump under the bed routed the air hoses to the head of the bed, made holder to keep the pump from rolling around. I have had this bed in 3 trailers and all have work well. I left enough of the extension cord on the out side of the bed so the room could move in and out.

Our 2005 Cardinal has an outlet on one side of the bed base/slide. I thought Alline was suppost to be a higher end unit. Chris

I added an outlet on the floor next to the bed and the wiring is ran in the storage area and tapped the wiring into the central vac breaker, very clean look and is out of the way. We added the extended queen, with the cool touch fabaric all over. Best bed ever IMO..

My sleep number is 12 yrs old. It gets adjusted about once a year. I would run an extension cord, adjust it and forget it.
