Same to you, and everyone else! Make sure you eat your greens and peas today so you'll have good luck all year. Most of my family is coming over today, and I'm cooking lunch. Already got the ham in the oven, blackeyed peas on the stove cooking low and slow, homemade mac & cheese about to go in the oven next to the ham, corn on the cob is on the menu, and so is potato salad, and of course turnip greens! If you're hungry, gimme a call. I'll hook you up!

The DW is in Florida for the Holidays with the youngest daughter and grand kids, so friends are bringing me a true southern New Years Day meal. Hoppin' John, which is black eye peas in rice with hog jowls, some corn bread and pecan pie to finish it off. Love my heritage......Thanks for the offer though Tracy.
