some pics i found on the web may help, these are not of my stuff. mine is not this nice lol.
looking at the rear driver side of the top of the manifold. to the left of the screwdriver is the big 6 pin glow plug controller to the right is the oil pressure switch. correct me if i'm wrong.

front driver side head, temp sending unit? correct me if i''m wrong.

i have found the glow plug inhibit switch on top of the engine on the passenger side rear by following the wires. but on the outside rear of the passenger side head is this mystery switch. anybody know what it is?

No takers? Ok here's a dumb one I can't figure out. What is this knob beside the key for? I broke the back of it apart accidently taking the dash apart.

Gusbratz, would the switch be the dimmer for the dash lights?

i dont think so because the regular head light switch turns and has a detent i can feel. the head lights are not working right now though so maybe it has something to do with it.

you might want to spend some time here
I found the hard way that the 6v glow plugs with wide spades burn out real quick, changed to 12v haven't had problems with the momentary switch controlling the GP relay, count to 6 fire up.

the small knob on the dash is the intermittent wiper control.

Finally getting around to making some more progress, got the engine running nice and all up to my standards. Brakes still need fixed but I decided to start working on the inside for a bit. I got all the carpet up and removed some of the dinette to get it out of my way while I do flooring. I am going to replace the front part around the doghouse with carpet; I saved the old pieces to use as patterns. We were planning on doing the rest with laminate but now that the rug is gone I can see the floor is buckled and warped from getting wet. The plywood in the bedroom is uneven with the rest of the floor and there is no way laminate will go over these bubbles. there is also a big hump in the floor right between the wheel wells. there is a 2x2 support under the floor there and it seems to be pushing up into the plywood but when viewed from under the coach all you see is the aluminum caladding on the bottom of the plywood and everythingl looks good. hmmmmm any ideas? Water seems to be getting in the back somehow as I can see the lower back wall is damp now that the bed is out. I may have to spend some time on the roof before I proceed with the building of bunk beds and framing in the old fridge opening for a dorm fridge and microwave. I hate the heat but the tar they smeared on the seams should come off easier in the hot sun so I can put the eternabond on.

what is this hose with nothing hooked up to it? is that where you suck antifreeze in to winterize?

removeing tar to put eternabond down. removeing roof rack to remove tar. the tar is thick. can i put the roof rack back down overtop of the eternabond and shoot screws through it? will aluminum gutter sealent work as a caulking under screw holes and penetrations?

Great post. It looks like you are making good progress on bringing it back. I love to see that. Keep us posted on what you are doing with it. I recently got an 89 Winnebago. Mine didn't need too much but I plan to keep it and am really interested in what you are doing and running into. Keep up the posts.

If the 6" wide Etarnabond would cover the edges of the tar you might not have to do all of the removal. As long as you can get 1/2" grip on each side of the Eternabond it will hold. I would use Dicor self leveling caulk for the screw holes you want to put through the tape.
