Got a dusting of what I'd call shaved ice last night, fortunately, very small amount, so no collapsed patio to wake up to this time. Cleaned it off with a broom before heading off to take my morning shower.

We're currently in white out conditions, however, it appears to be more wind than snow. It's supposed to continue through tomorrow afternoon, so we'll see what stacks up here.
Agree with Silver that winter seems to have finally put in an appearance. Been snowing since last night with probably 10-11" on the ground. At least it is the light fluffy stuff though we'd better get it up tomorrow. Rain/sleet coming in Saturday and don't want that on top of the driveway snow or we'll never move it til June.

I'll trade you a couple of killer tornados for one peaceful blizard...
The tornados follow I-40 east until Cumberland County, TN... and split as they start down the mountain near Crab Orchard... the slide off to the north of us... or just to the south of us... they pounded some people to death last night. The winds were 125 mph... at 75ºF... hot and cold spots create the high winds... this is something new for this area. NBC says this has been the warmest winter in 117 years.
Well, it's official February 2012 was the 2nd snowiest Feb. in recorded history, here in Denver. Missed number one by 2"S.
Got a snow shower midday today then it warmed up and melted some more of the old stuff. Was back down to 36*F at 1700. We'll see.
Sleepy Ya'll better learn to dig some storm cellars, if this turns into a regular thing. Good for root storage as well. Hope you you folks find they're not needed, however. Be safe.

I think you are correct...
Funny that you said that... there are some shelters for sale locally ever since last year.
They look like ceptic tanks with steps heading down from the hatch... they
appear to be about 6' in diameter... 10' long... small, but you don't have to stay long before the worst is past.
