I can't find archived brochures anywhere online, and I have a few questions.

I'm specifically interested in the 213 model. Can anyone tell me how many seatbelts there are? There is a dinette with an adjacent couch in this particular floorplan.

Also, can anyone tell me what the unloaded vehicle weight and the GCWR are for the 213 with a Chevy chassis?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I came across the brochures section of that website but unfortunately there are only motorized brochures for 2006 and the link is broken.

They have a forum just like here that you can post questions. There is some manufactuering monitoring on the site I have been told.

This link shows a brochure (down at the bottom) for a 2004 Model 213. The brochure provides a lot of info, including all the weight specifications, but nothing on the number of seat belts. My guess would be 4 seatbelts in the dinette and 2 more for the driver and cab passenger:

First, you may want to browse this topic B+ Motorhomes. The thread took on a life of it's own with over 270 pages of comments. I have documented over 100 different owners of the RVision Trail-Lite motorhome that have contributed to the topic. I believe you will find that the unit has about a 4 to 4-1/2 out of a 5 star rating. I don't believe the floor plans in the brochures indicate the number of seat belts. Our Model 211 w/slide has a similar floorplan. Ours has 5 seat belted positions (3 on the couch plus the front 2 bucket seats). Here is the floor plan of our 211(S) -

Here is a copy of the 213 floor plan -

I don't believe the year makes a difference in the floor plan layout. On ours, the dinette has storage under the rearward bench and the fresh water tank under the front bench. Should not be too difficult to install seat belts in the bench that merely has storage space. You would have direct access to bolting to the floor of the RV with appropriate sized washers.

pnichols gave the link to a brochure I also have.

The sofa, not dinette, has two seatbelts.

The rig is generslly well made and our '05 213 is going strong w/ no failed components (save the engine starter was replaced after only 32k miles)

Thanks so much everyone. I found one at a local dealer and they were able to tell me there are 2 seatbelts on the couch and of course the driver and passenger. I could probably bolt some additional ones to the dinette if necessary. I really liked the unit but I think I will have to pass because it was lived in full time. Everything looks really nice and well-kept, and just about everything has been replaced, including the generator, but the 127K miles on the engine scares me.

With a UVW of just over 8K lbs, and a GCWR of near 16K, I'd have plenty of tow capacity for my horse trailer. And even without the slide it seems like it's roomy enough and a decent set-up for tail-gaiting at the hubby/kids' sporting events. It is also nice and compact and would not be intimidating for me to drive to the beach or amusement parks. Seems like a really good setup for my needs. I was suprised at how large the "bed" is when you set up the sofa/dinette...seems about as big as my king size at home. That would be plenty of space for me and my daughter at horse shows (hubby doesn't go along to horse shows so I only need sleeping accomodations for 2).
I also like that the bathroom seems a little bigger than a lot of the floorplans that have a full size bed in the corner. It's certainly not huge, but at least I can turn around in it!

I think this is the floorplan I want....I'll just keep looking for a unit with a little less wear on it.

bout2buy - Sounds like you have thought quite a bit about the Trail-Lite 213.

I do have a few comments - my 211(S) weighed 9,020 lbs when full of gas, propane, 1/2 tank of fresh water, 2 people on board, food, and clothing. The GCWR of mine is 16,000, so I would (in theory) have a capacity for a 6,980 lb trailer.

You might want to think about how many miles you expect to drive each year. The 5.7L (350ci) Chevy engine has been known to run 150,000 miles or more without problems if you change the oil regularly and keep the cooling system operational. My 1970 "350" had 185,000 miles when traded and it still ran strong.

If the price is attractive, you have the saved dollars to pay for a lot of modifications or repairs.

I may end up having my mechanic check out this unit. It does have new tires and a new generator. Price on the website is 15,700. I haven't checked nada yet... maybe I'll do that now
