I am not interested in dealer profit, only in what I am willing to pay for the rv. All car dealers and rv dealers tell they have to make a profit and not sell the vehicle at a loss. Who cares? It is a business, not a relative or friend. The dealer will shaft you at the drop of a hat. If a dealer goes out of business, who cares? There are lots of dealers and lots of good rv repair facilities. This is a business decision on your part and don't let emotions or emotional arguments influence your decision. Dealer says best price is $X and if I say my best price is $X minus some amount, then I walk and find another dealer. Better to have more money in my bank account than in the salesman's bank account.

A little blunt Bounder Billy but as a Purchasing Manager for over 30 years in my former life there is one truism, "the only thing you can control is what you pay for something, the market controls the price of what you can sell something. Therefore every dollar spent above what is necessary is lost forever."
NewsW: The dealer does not manufactures the vehicles, they only act as a middleman, and the only additive provided by the dealer is additional cost to the vehicle. Our original dealer began to cut corners, and he was dropped by a major manufacturer. Then the rv service became sloppy and suffered, so I droped the dealer and found a new place to get the RV serviced. We always have choices.
