Hello fellow gate guards, we got into town monday (Boerne,Tx.). We just finished our testing at Time Keepers today, did our drug testing yesterday and we are scheduled for fingerprints on Friday. just wondering how many couples are waiting on a gate with Time Keepers? We are brand new at this. Currently we're at a local cg near Boerne. Looking forward to this new gig and meeting some of you in the future when time allows. We've been reading lots of forums and blogs, great reading!...Phil& Renee

Crabbin cabin

Why? Because this is no different from any other threads that cover the same topic numerous times. If you don't like it....don't read it. If you have nothing to contribute...don't post, or send me notifies, for that matter.

Hi,

Could anyone recommend what one should purchase before they get to a gate? Are lights supplied, the bell, any clothing like the orange vests. I am guessing once you are at the gate it is not easy to then purchase items you will need.

I carry a high velocity air gun / pellet gun just in case. It is not a firearm and there are no laws about owning one. It can dispatch any aggressive critters or snakes if need be. I am not going after a rattler with a rake or hoe Would there be a problem having that aboard the RV?

thanks

We were told we can purchase uniform shirts and a vest from our security co. The lights we have to purchase from a home depot; two 500watt tripod lights with extra bulbs. not sure about a pellet rifle. We're still wondering how many couples are waiting on a gate with Time Keepers

Here is a link to a blog that two people write. You might have it already but here it is anyway. They are with Gate Guard Services and I know they were waiting on gates as well. There is alot of other gate guards who read this blog so posting a question will probably get some results:

The other post has 436 Replies so-far, I just can't imagine why someone would NOT want to wade through that. Good topic but way out of control. Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome to the biz. I do not do "timekeepers" as they pay W-2 and you have to buy lights and stuff yourself. Many companies provide the lights, vest, etc at no cost to the gate guard. They also pay 1099 which is what we prefer so only one of us get the tax hit. Good luck and have fun.
