Two Big Ten coaches are unhappy with Ohio State's Urban Meyer's aggressive style of recruiting! Brett Bielema of Wisconsin and Mark Dantonio have voiced their displeasure. However, Urban Meyer feels any recruit that is interested in Ohio State and hasn't signed a "letter of intent", is fair game Even Wisconsin's A.D. Mr. Barry Alveraz agrees with Meyer as does Michigan's coach Brady Hoke. Meyer flipped a blue chip OT from Wisc. and a blue chip DE from MSU. Meyer flipped (5) PSU Blue Chippers! But, both of these recruits are from Ohio and were very interested in playing for OSU. OHIO State's 2012 recruiting class is currently ranked #3 by scout.com and #4 by rivals.com. The NCAA sanctions for (3) years and the one year bowl loss (2012) had little effect on this current recruiting class. Very much looking forward to seeing my beloved "Buckeyes" kick some Big 10 backside this coming fall, especially on Nov. 24th. Urban Meyer was the perfect coach to replace Tressel/Fickel. Bags. ......Just wanted to add: Bielema took Wisc. to the Rose Bowl this year, but was only able to recruit/sign (12) H.S. football players. I think he needs to learn how to recruit better! Meyer got 25.

I'm with you bags.....your new coach cut his wisdom teeth in the SEC. He knows what it takes to build a championship team, and I believe he will do so. Just hope he never beats the Tide..........

Well, the truth of the matter is, college football is seriously big time in the SEC. Just look at the head coaches in the SEC, especially at South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri, they are all big name coaches. Furthermore, the state of Florida has a wealth of high school football talent as does other southern states. As far as here up north, Ohio comes in 5th. nationally for local football talent. That is why any reasonably good coach at Ohio State who can keep most of the blue chippers to stay home in Columbus, will have a pretty good team. What intrigues me about Urban Meyer is that not only is he a "Buckeye" in his heart and sole, he has tremendous high school connections in Florida. Furthermore, he has shown the ability to bring is blue chip recruits this year from Illinois, Indiana, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Therefore, if Urban Meyer can bring a little SEC flavor and style to Columbus, I'm happy. Wouldn't it be something if Nick Saban, Les Miles, Petrino, and the coach Gary Pinkel from Missouri decided to come home (back here) and coach in the Big Ten? Bags.
