Recently purchased a package deal, 2008 Fleetwood Bounder 34G along with the Roadmaster All Terrain tow bar and a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade toad. I haved towed it on several short trips and had no problems. I am planning on taking a longer, cross-country trip, and was wondering if it was necessary to pull any fuses on the Jeep to avoid any battery drain. I currently use a BrakeBuddy, and I know it is suggested to disconnect that when done traveling for the day to avoid battery drain. Anyone pulling a similar Jeep Liberty with knowledge about this issue? Appreciate any feedback.

I tow a 2001 liberty and the longest I have had it hooked up and never started the engine was 5 days. Never had a problem.

Our Chevy Tracker would go dead after a few days of towing in hilly or windy roads (lots of braking action on the Brake Buddy).

Towed my Liberty close to 20 thousand miles and never had a problem with BB. Last fall with time on my hands ran a positive and negative from MH to jeep battery. fused on both ends just to keep a full charge on it. picked up 12vdc at generator start solenoid and grounded to frame. one less thing to worry about as jeep battery is original and it's an '04.

Mine is an 2006 and I never have the battery go dead. The key is turned just to unlock the steering column but not on. I hope this helps, Bill

If the Brake Buddy is using the Jeep's power for braking then yes it can and will go dead eventually. How long it will take depends on you.
