More than likely because it would be in french. Probably for the French language networks in Quebec, New Brunswick and Ontario.

Lots of french speakers/readers outside of those few provinces! Even many in the USA!! Some of us even do like to travel in so called French Canada!

Yes. There are lots of us in Alberta as well. But the french networks and channels are more plentiful in the areas I mentioned. We have limited french programming in Alberta with the exception of CBC. North Alberta is kinda neat. There are whole towns where most of the signs are in French, mass on sunday, all in french. Way cool.

Our favourite city in Canada to travel to and hang around is still Quebec city Quebec. Great city and incredible history and architecture.

By the way, I am not a french Canadian, I am a Canadian who speaks french. Huge difference as I don't come from french Canadian ancestry. I enjoy the culture and history though....and the food.

Must cost Canada a ton of money to be a bi-lingual country. Or does that explain the "looney"

Reading this thread makes me remember once sitting in a pub in England when the gent next to me said:

“You Americans make me laugh, you’re never just an American. You’re a German-American, French-American, African-American, to us, you’re just an American. What‘s wrong with being just an American?”

Kinda makes sense when it’s said like that.
