Bow Valley PP has seven different campgrounds.

Here is a link...........Bow Valley

Bow Valley is probably the best of the lot (My opinion only)

Bow Valley PP Campground is indeed the best. Look at Peter Lougheed PP, there are more campgrounds there and only 45 minutes from Bow Valley.

Another more expensive option is Mount Kidd, great spot but hard to get into. It books solid 90 days in advance.

If you arrive mid week then one of my favorites is Interlakes Campground in Peter Lougheed. No reservations but you can get sites that back right onto Lower Kananaskis Lake.

I should also mention that we will require power, which limits our choice of CG's

I would personally go with either Mount Kidd (if you can get in) near Kananaskis Village or Boulton Creek in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. Both can be reserved online, Mount Kidd at www.mountkiddrv.com and Boulton at reserve.albertaparks.ca

Boulton will be cheaper and is right by both Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes. Mount Kidd is on the Bow River and in a nice setting, if you have kids then Mount Kidd has the better playground.

I found the spots & CG at bow valley impossible to get into with my unit. We ended up in the "new" section, which was a field with a bunch of pull-thru sites.

you should be ok with your unit though.

Bow valley is very nice though, but we usually end up at Mt.kidd.

Boulton CG does not have powered sites though, according to the web page.

Not sure where you looked, but Boulton Creek campground definitely has powered sites available.

One entire loop has power sites, don't recall which one but the reserve.albertaparks.ca will list them.

I also agree with the person above who said Bow Valley PP Campground can be hard to get into. I had to back into a pull through site with a 26' travel trailer. I won't go back with our fifth wheel unless I'm in the loop that's a big open field... and since I don't want to camp in a big open field I won't go back.

This site here doesn't list Boulton as having power:
