I've been thinking of doing a 6 day trip down the Middle Fork with one of the various rafting companies. I looked into a couple years ago but changed my travel plans for some reason. Anyone in here do one of these trips?

My wife and I did that very same trip on the Middle Fork you are considering. It was about ten or twelve years ago with Tour West Outfitters. The raft trip was fantastic. Pitched our tents each night along the shore line and the tour guides cooked fabulous meals. The scenery was beautiful and even found some sandy beaches for a swim and lunch breaks. Also stopped along the way to enjoy a soothing soaking in a natural hot spring pool a short hike up the mountain side. Did a little fishing along the way too. The whole experience was great!

We did that float about 15 years ago. Great trip.

A lot of Middle Fork Salmon trips start out off Hwy 21 between Lowman and Stanley off the Landmark Stanley road. We see a lot of the cars parked there, then a bus takes you back to the let in spot. Beautiful trip back to Dagger Falls where you head out from. Have never done it but it sure is popular all summer long.

Did that trip about 20 years ago with Barker-Ewing River Expeditions. Six days, five nights. The outfitter set up our tents, cooked our meals, provided drinks. All I had to do was fish and enjoy the scenery. It was fantastic.

Suggestions appreciated. I've done the Grand Canyon twice and loved every day of it.

I looked for my old files and here are some photos of the Middle Fork. It is a very technical river with a lot of rocks. The float is beautiful and fun.

We flew into Indian Creek which is a very short runway.

Lovely rocky canyon
