Anybody know someone around Columbia, GA. There is a 2 month old Golden Retriever scheduled to be put down tomorrow. My niece will take her, but I can't get her in time! Have called but there is no way to leave a message. If I can get her reprieved, I will get her someway and then get her to my niece.
Barb
Just got confirmation that she has been adopted by someone.
This is a little blessing for the day although my niece will be a little let down. Thanks all for being there

I guess you are not going to like California's new 72 hour rule, the Governor is trying to save money at the pound for wasteful spending elsewhere, and is trying to change the law that says a stray has 6 days in California to find a new owner, down to just three days to save the state a couple million dollars a year.
Sad.
I got my dog at the shelter, and if she had not been allowed to stay 6 days I might never had met her.

Fred.
A reminder this could happen to your state. No, I'm not happy with California the way it's going.
