Saw my buddy who had the fire truck shipped tonight, he recommended uship.com if you're still figuring out what to do.
That is what "Shipping Wars" use - no way. I'd want a carrier who knows who knows what they are doing and has good cargo insurance.

uship.com is not a shipper. You still pick who you want to use. uship just hooks up people with loads, and people willing to haul them.

I had the pleasure of riding in one of these while I was in the service back in the 1960s and loved it. Back then it was fun to ride the bus (and train).

Just to update the thread, I have been in discussions with the folks from Shipping Wars and they have expressed an interest in having the bus on the show. The shipper that I am talking with is having a new trailer built that would accommodate this buss and we are looking at a shipping date of early to mid May at this time. In the mean time I have acquired a Detroit 6V92 with about 20,000 miles since rebuilt and a 10 speed transmission that will go in the bus when it gets here. While I am waiting, I am practicing my fix-it skills on a 1986 Georgie Boy that I picked up for a couple of hundered bucks. Found out that pin holes in aluminum roofs can leak a ton and be hard to find.

That sounds like one interesting way to do it. Hope it arrives safely. Regardless, it's trip should be well documented.
