We are fulltimers looking to trade up. Not sure if we will go with a MH or another fiver, but are leaning toward the fiver.
My question is how did you guys move from one coach to another while living full time in a R/V?
I thought about renting two sites in a R/V park close to the dealer and have them deliver the new one next to our trade in. We could then take a few days to move from the trade-in to the new one. When we finish moving, then tow the trade-in to the dealer or have them pick it up.
Any ideas from you guys that's been this route would be helpful.
Thanks,

We've swapped at the dealer. They parked the rigs next to one another so the doors are facing each other so there was less walking. Once we were done, we let them know and they moved the old rig. On one swap we had them so close together we bought some 2x12 boards and put them from step to step. Made the swap even easier. One we are done, we spent a day or so at the dealer checking everything out, and getting things fixed.
All seemed to work for us.

We even lined the shelves ahead of time but allow lots of time for the process even if the rigs are side by side as we had to fiddle with where to put every thing as no cupboard, bin or drawer was the same.

We've done it twice, both at the dealers. Parked door to door and told to take as much time as we want. Or the 2 sites at an rv park would work, our friends did that and the dealer paid for both sites. He didn't have enough room on his lot for them to stay a couple of days to move.

We rented a storage unit and moved as much as we could into it over about a week's time. Transferred what was left at the dealership while they installed the Splendide washer/dryer. During the following week, we moved everything out of the storage unit and into the new fiver.

We swapped at the dealer. Parked the units with the doors facing each other and spent 4 hours transferring stuff.

We also did it twice. First at a dealers. Parked side by side. Up and down steps too many times to count. Next time was at the factory. They parked us side by side and built a bridge for us....easy, easy way to go. No steps to maneuver

We've done it twice. First time in the dealers lot and even leaving part of the basement items at the campground covered, it still took hours to find a new location for everything. So some items stayed in totes for awhile.
The 2nd time, we boxed everything up and moved into a Uhaul trailer. DH fixed a ramp to move heavy items with a dolly. Left it sitting in our site and drove up to the dealer (90 mins). We only transferred some small items left. Then I had time (days instead of hours) to unpack at my leisure to get things stowed and in their proper spaces before we relocated. Boxes broke down and gave them to my son drove over to help us.
