I read through the brake controller recommendations thread that is stickied in the FAQ's.

There were some die hard Jordan 2020 fans so I went to research that controller but it's gone (no longer available from what I've read).

Is there an updated thread that relates to the controllers?

Edit: Oops... forgot to ad the link.

Edit: forgot again.

There are no doubt a lot of people out there that STILL use that controller and may sometimes sell it to others.

So the best option now is the Prodigy I'm assuming?

I understand the same questions get asked over and over which why FAQ's are created and stickied. The sticky I'm referring to is outdated by ten years I think so I thought I'd just ask.

In my humble opinion, Prodigy is one of the best. Have had mine for 10 years, never a problem, and always works well.

Aside from his specific equipment-related question, I think the O.P.'s original threadstarter asks about the fact that in
Beginning RVing FAQ Sticky, all the links/information about brake controllers leads to closed threads, most of which that aren't any newer than 2003.
I've noticed a similar pattern with other "sticky" info. Surely lots of things have changed in ten years!

That list for beginners is well thought out and comprehensive, but it might be time for some updating.
That'd be a huge job for the person that worked it out to begin with, though. I think he's the only one that can change it. Maybe a corps of volunteers could be formed to make suggestions...

I agree, aside from a factory installed integrated brake controller, the best one out there is prodigy. The P2 and the P3 are both very popular. I loved our P3 but no longer need it since we upgraded the TV to a truck that included the factory brake controller. Whatever you get, make sure it is a proportional brake controller and not a time delay brake controller.
