G'day, I am doing a 7 day visit in April with a good mate. Will be traveling from LA to Vegas to Williams to Flagstaff to Salt Lake City to Denver. All in a 28ft MH. Is ther a list of clean, safe and cheap places to hook up for the night? We are doiong a check run and will be back with our DW's next year.
Any sights that should not be missed would be greatful. We have a TC back here, so the MH expeirience should be different.
OH yeah...any thing we should NOT do.
Thanks
HERE is one source to check out public campgrounds across the USA.
My only suggestion.........don't forget to take photos and have fun
On Edit: The first leg of trip (LA to Vegas) is about 5 hrs. with nothing to see but desert in between.
Vegas to Williams.....3 1/2 hr. drive...more desert.... visit to Grand Canyon
Williams to SLC........10 hr. drive so I'd break that one up into 2 days with visits to Zion, Bryce Canyon
SLC to Denver.......8 hr.drive if you swing north and taking I-80(E) to Cheyenne, WY then I-25(S) to Denver
Now if t wasn't April I go from SLC to Vernal, UT (thru Provo Canyon) with a visit to Dinosaur Nat'l Park then on to Denver via Craig & Steamboat Springs, CO coming into Denver from the west thru the Rocky Mtns. breaking it up into 2 days also. But in April that route thru Provo Canyon and the Rockies can be iffy.
That uses up 6 of your 7 days..so spending time in one spot will be limited BUT you will see some nice country/scenery (even the desert can be very scenic)
