We are going full-time as soon as the S&B sells. My question is what does one do about their prescription drugs. I can get prescriptions for a year but my insurance plan only allows 3 months at a time and on some of the meds I take will only be despenced 3 months at a time. Has anyone else run into this problem and figured out a solution?

Thanks for any info...... Mike

We'd call in our renewls or order on the internet and let them know where to send it. We didn't have any trouble.

I use WalMart pharmacy and just have them transferred from one to the next.

WalMart will transfer prescriptions.

Also, we go to Progreso, Mexico to get ours. No prescription needed.

We use Medco, Rx are written for 90 days with 3 refills. Order online and they are sent to our mailing address and come in the next mail delivery. We could specify a different address each time, but find it easier to have it just sent to Livingston and then out to us. Been doing it this way for 6 years.

Our prescription plan uses Express Scripts. We just go online for my prescriptions and through the VA for the "driver's" prescription. We have the prescriptions mailed to our mailbox in SD or sent general delivery to the town located closest to our current campground.

We used a mail order pharmacy and they would send them to wherever we happened to be, whether we were fulltiming or snowbirding.

Walmart, Walgrens, CVC.........any major 'chain' pharmacy.

Fill 3 months at a time.......call and reorder or have filled at local 'chain' pharmacy via transfer.

The key to making it easy is having your Doctor write 3 months Rx with 3-4 refills.
