I'm not sure where to post this - so I'll try this part of the forum since I know many snowbirds do camp at Lake Roosevelt.
We recently moved to AZ and plan to camp there next month. We have been told that we need a special connection to be able to fill out water tank from the faucets at the campgrounds at Roosevelt. Can someone give us some input (pictures would be great for me) as to what we need?
If the fittings are not threaded you will probably need a Water Thief

The water faucets at Windy Hill (one of the more popular CG's), were threaded and we just attached our hose like anywhere else. The water spigots are not in every site, two or three for each of the individual CG's. Get your Tonto National Forrest pass on your way in, they are sold at a number of the local stores and most have large signs advertising their availability. We were there in October and the lake was still 75 degrees, probably a little cooler than that now.
I have found that some CG spigots have an 1/2" female thread. I like to carry a 1/2" male to garden hose adapter. You can find them brass or plastic at most hardware stores. Lowe's, Home Depot.
Thanks for your responses. The person who told us this camped at the Cholla campground and he definitely had some type of adapter that attached to his hose. We will try to find out if either of these are what he used.
