We are newcomers to the world of RVing and have recently purchased a 2002 Rialta for its compact size that allows us to park it at home. It makes it convenient for those quick, last minute weekend getaways. The one accessory we wish Winnebago would add is an awning. We found one awning that claims to fit the Rialta, a LB Sidewinder II. Does anyone have experience with adding an awning to a Rialta? The installation looks easy enough but I have concerns about drilling into the roof and just below where the walls meet the roof. Could there be wires, etc. in that area? What is the quality level of this type of awning?

A quick look in the Rialta groups seems to indicate Fiamma as the awning of choice for Rialta owners.... I should add that we are having a Fiamma awning installed on our class B Pleasure-Way later this week.
As a Rialta owner, you will find a wealth of information at the Yahoo groups for Rialta owners... we considered a Rialta before getting our Dodge based Class B rig.
(be sure to put a screen on your shower drain)
Threads in the forum indicate Fiamma bracket #98655-318 to be used on Rialtas.
Best of luck with your rig!
