I came across this vintage Airstream on Craigslist. It sure would make a neat project trailer, but I'm afraid of biting off more than I can chew.

http://nmi.craigslist.org/bar/2864082438.html That would make a great project trailer and is priced below usual market value. I'd have to haggle the seller to death, though, just for having to watch those videos he made. Would it be too hard to capture the stuff in the correct orientation? Sheesh, I thought I was looking at a Space Shuttle launch, lol. Also, if you aren't adding any narration, why turn up the audio so we can hear the neighbor's dog barking.
I think Airstream is one of a very few that eliminates a lot of the risk of renovation. If one tires of the project or life intervenes, you could probably get most of your investment back. Not true of the majority of trailers.

We had a a 1972 Airstream 25 foot Trade Winds for about 20 years and pulled it near a million miles. In that time I rebuilt most of it. Truth is none of it is hard work. Just time and work at it. We really never changed ours much just kept it the same. Great Project. The best way to handle it is to not look at the big job. Just one small job at a time.. IMHO

If the seller hasn't already done too much damage, this might be a good project for someone that's more into restoration than RVing...
1974's not exactly a vintage year for Airstreams, but if held on to long enough it will become one!

The outside seems to be in beautiful shape. I would like to take on a project like that too but don't have the room.

That is a sweet TT! Looks like a great restoration candidate. Lots of work though, you have to be prepared for that but in the end it will be worth something if done right. I think snowdance said it best snowdance wrote: The best way to handle it is to not look at the big job. Just one small job at a time..
