It's starting out like yet another big tornado season will be coming earlier again this year.

I cancelled taking the MH home from the shop today after the kids were concerned. It was a good thing. While we had no twisters the wind was 50+ MPH and a very hard rain storm came out of NOWHERE.
We were located between the two storm paths of the week thankful.
This is more April like for us. It hit 81 at the house at noon and 33 is overnight forecast. 50F drop feels more like 100F drop when starting from 80F.

I just got to my home south of Atlanta - coming from NE Alabama. I avoided the storms - but they chased all the way home.
I was on site with a customer all this week up there. Wasnt going to stay up there any longer!

We'd promised to take the MIL to dinner for her birthday so I left work a couple hours early to beat the bad weather. Unfortunately a storm materialized west of Nashville and roared eastward at 60 mph. We were taking her home when here comes a hail storm. Boy is it noisy in a vehicle when hail stones an inch and more in diameter are falling! I could barely see out the window through the curtain of white The ground and road were covered when it stopped. The DH's truck now sports a couple dozen dimples on the hood and roof. The worst of the storm missed our home though so my truck and camper remain undimpled

Sitting here at Oak Mountain State Park. Had minor surgery today and Oak Mountain is within 15 minutes of the docs. It was pretty nice this afternoon when we got back, but it is raining pretty hard right now with occasional earsplitting thunder and close lightning. My 70-lb Aussie is quivering and squeezed under the table at my feet. The brittany is on the bed with his paw (DH).
What I can get on the internet is pretty spotty about conditions here it seems like we have been in a sweet spot between storm cells. But one is on its way if it dont move. They say we will get rain and thunder and straight line winds til morning.
A bit north of us is a different story. Worried about family in Northeast Alabama and Tennessee.

ours hit at 9:27 pm... hail that you couldn't see through, swiriling round and round... high winds, hundreds of lightning striked according to the TV... we didn't sustain any damage that we know of.
It looked like the storms were all the way up to Pittsburg, Pa.

We had our worst round yesterday, just skined our place, the worst was 2.7 miles away, Harrisburg ILL lost 6 people and over 100 homes destroyed, today we sliped through an opening (thank you JESUS).
tomorrow we are heading to the small town of Ridgeway, they lost most of the businesses in town and a 120 yr old Catholic church.
Harrisburg already has the government involved, so your looking at 2-3 hours of paperwork before you can pick up trash, thats why we are headed elswhere.
our prayers go out to all the folks that lost loved ones and there homes.
