So, 8 replies with 4 different opinions.

Like I said, it's a matter of personal opinion.

And like the old saying goes, "Opinions are like.........".

Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer choice.

Coachnet. There's no need to describe the size and type of rig - they know it's a motorhome and will send the appropriate tow vehicle. Also, I've had great success in talking through problems using their tech support. On one occasion, they even set up a conference call with two techs to discuss the problem. They're the gold standard for motor home road service. And why do people without motor homes feel obligated to post on the OP's question?

Coach-Net is an Emergency Road Service (ERS) provider that specializes in RV's of all types and sizes. In your original post, you mentioned the FMCA, but they do not offer an ERS program as such, but they do offer a discount when joining the Coach-Net plan. One difference between the Coach-Net and Good Sam ERS plans, is that Coach-Net operates their own call center with their own network of service providers, while Good Sam contracts with a third-party ERS provider (currently Allstate) for their services.

Im my humble opinion, Coachnet is the best. They also cover your personal vehicles etc. They are not "off" on Sundays. If you need assistance and in an area with no one in their netowrk, they'll start calling outside their network. That will not happen with ANY other service. We were stranded with our toad, and coachnet had to make 20 calls to services outside their network and got us help. The tow driver who was not but now is in their network said they are hands down the best. They pay them immediately, unlike other services who haggle the prices and pay monthly. And when your tow driver gets paid on the spot, guess what happens, they jump to help you. Since then other tow drivers have told me they dodge GS and AAA for fear of not getting paid on time or the whole bill and forget about getting calls on Sundays. Anyway, that's my experience.

Except on Sundays and except if you are in an area where they have no one in their network.

I went through this process about a year and a half ago, evaluating CAA (Canadian AAA), Good Sam and Coach-net.

CAA RV was three times the cost of GS and CN, so that hurt them right there. Depending on where you travel, CAA (or AAA) might not even provide you coverage. Unsure exactly which, but I've seen it written here that AAA is not available in some states. If it's not available there, good luck giving them a call if you're travelling there and break down.

With Good Sam, I heard too many stories where someone called when they were broken down, Good Sam couldn't find a provider and left them on their own. Not exactly what I'm looking for in my ERS.

I hadn't hear any stories like that regarding Coach-Net. with the fact that they cover all vehicles, including the ones your spouse and/or dependant child(ren) are driving, RV technical support if you're having an issue with something else in your RV, all for practically the same price as Good Sam, it was evident to me that Coach-Net would be my choice, a choice that I am very happy with.

So who do you think doesn't have a motorhome & if they don't right now, why do you think their opinion doesn't count?
