I use Fire Fox browser. I have a pop up blocker. It works on everything except the fire fox pop up that asks me to up grade to the latest version of fire fox. The newer version says it won't support Google tool bar so I don't want it.
Is there any way to stop this pop up with out using IE or do I just have to live with it?

First, check the options or settings in firefox and see if there is a option to notify you if a new version or upgrade becomes available. Don't use FF so not real familar with if that is in there but often software has these type options to turn it off.
If you can't find it in there, Try running msconfig by going to your start menu and typing msconfig.
See if there is a reference to it in the startup items tab.
Sometimes software manufactures put one in there labeled "...reminder" such as FFreminder or firefox reminder. If there is any reference to firefox in there, un-check it and save then reboot your pc.
Those would be the first two things I would do to try to eliminate it. If that doesn't work, try searching their suport forum. I'm sure your not the first that it has irritated and that has asked for help in turning it off.
Good Luck!

Gee... I don't use the Google tool bar.
Under options I think (Tools | OPTIONS | Advanced | Update)
Choose the one not recommended (never check for updates)
There is a search engine or two "Add-On" that lets you add ANY search engine to the search engine bar on Firefox. It can add Google search without the need for the google tool bar, or Yahoo search or BING search or ____ search (you pick an engine) IT is called "Add to search bar" if I'm not mistaken, You might also want Orginize Search Engines add on,, This lets me do a Google search easily and quickly WITHOUT the GOOGLE tool bar.. Frankly I have enough tool bars I do not need more.
Home is where I park it.

I have FF 10.0.2. And use the Google tool bar. The auto fill no longer has credit card info. I think that was a security factor when FF initially stopped allowing their tool bar.
