My Mom (age 89) found out 2 months ago that she has CLL. Her Dr. sent her to a Hemotologist. She could take chemo but the specialist said at her age, she should do nothing because treatment could be hard for her. Mom drives & takes complete care of herself in her own house. Only help she has (besides us when we visit) is lawn mowing & snow removal. The specialist said she should go home and live just like she always does. She will get blood work done in 3 months and specialist wants to see her again in 6 months. If all is OK, then she's not to come back for a year. Hers is Stage Zero (My friend's father got it in his 60's & it wasn't what he died from 20 years later.)
