Look at Q20 20000 lb Curt Hitch. Will fit industry rails and Is a well made hitch. Tows with no clunking, chucking, or noise.

SmittysRV wrote: Hello, I did a search here for some info but the search function on this forum is kinda tuff to deal with compared to others I’m used to. Anyway, I currently have a Reese 16K in my F350 long bed and will soon need an 18K for the new 5th Wheel toy hauler we are looking at getting. Can I just buy the top portion of a Reese 18K and pin in down to my existing bed rails? Also, what is the best Reese 18K hitch out there? Thx for your time!!

Hey; I decided on the reese elite and it also has the wrap around jaw. Towed my 2011 cardinal 3625 1200 miles like a dream with my 2011 silverado 3500hd dmax Allison. I went with the 20k. My old 16k reese also got sloppy after years of service. Just another option. Good luck. Dave

Dang! Both the Pull Rite 2100 and the Curt 16130 Industry Standard Rail hitches seem great. I'll have to make a desicion pretty quik as I pick up the new Hauler in two weeks. The Pull Rite is 18k and the Curt is 20k, I assume having the extra compacity is always a plus??

I have looked up both the Pull Rite 2100 and the Curt 16130. They both seem like good hitches. The prices for either hitch seem pretty comparable as well. Does anyone have first hand info on these, pros and cons? Thx again.

I have the Curt Q5 which is a 20000# hitch and love it.No clunking and three zerks to keep it greased as well.Very well made and the customer support from Curt is excellent. When I had my reese 15k slider end had questions contacting Reese was a pain.

The difference is called a 4500/5500 truck! Or a freight liner rig...
It does look like a very substantial piece of equipment...
Hard decision...can't really make a bad decision with either hitch though.
Ya, I just want the one with the best locking mechanism/jaw. The Pull Rite seems very good. The curt is still a two piece jaw that just seems to me less safe. Time to flip a coin............

Too bad the B&W Patriot isn't 18k; can't beat their product =or= the company.
