In our previous RV's, we've been able to secure the stuff in the refer with use of the tension bars. Even with the side by side residential refer in the Country Coach, we could use the bars and keep everything on the shelves.

Now, with the Maytag residential refer, the configuration is different. (side by side refer doors and the freeze is down below). How do you keep things from sliding all over? I can put the anti-slip stuff on the shelves, but that still won't keep things from tipping over. Baskets would work, but they sure cut down on the storage space.

For those of you who have this style of refer, what is your trick?

Put items in small containers, then put them in the refrig. Or, keep the refrig really really full.

We just pack the items in, first few miles we dumped a full gallon of milk on the floor, now I tie the door shut. The top hasp that was supposed to hold the top doors shut broke at the same time. We have a Maytag

We got the curtain rods at WalMart and have had no problems in 4000 mi. We secure the doors while moving but otherwise no special treatment.

I went to Target this evening and picked up some of the shelf anti-slip stuff and 2 tension rods that are longer so that should do the trick. Thanks for your ideas.

First turn I made when I first got my RV resulted in half the stuff coming out of refrigerator.
I thought the lock button on the control panel was to lock the doors. Who knew it was to lock in the temperature selections. Velco strap sold at any big box home center works just fine in route and easy to put on and take off.

At least the door locks worked and the eggs were in a drawer. Hopefully I have the problem solved.
