Even though the skies around Whitehorse had some clouds last night, the colors were quite impressive. This was shot at the Yukon River Bridge on the Alaska Highway just before midnight.

Nice shot, Murray! The lights were out again last night at 2 a.m. to the north of us.

I got all packed to head out at 10:30 last night but there were no lights and about 80% cloud cover so went back to bed instead. I'm hoping for better luck tonight, which also has a good aurora forecast.

Beautiful pictures!
For those who have never seen them, they do move, they are not static, but this movement is difficult to catch accurately with a camera. Often the ones you do see are sped up as is this one, love the music in this.
How long are the exposures of your pictures as I'm thinking that the moving object in your first frame is a satellite and not a meteor?

I don't believe in astrology. I am a Gemini and
we're very skeptical.

Exposure times are between 3 and 13 seconds. You may be right, never real thought about a satellite. Thanks.
