Good Morning to all
Do not know if this is the right area for this question but will try anyway.
Has anyone here set up a Montana LLC for registering my motorhome and other things. I want to get something set up but hate to get a company that that is not any good or steal identity. I am looking for a recommendation for a company that someone has used and is satisfied. I know there are lots of rv's reg in MT.
Thanks for the answers

We've used the Heggen Law Office for years and recommend them highly.
One stop shop, fast efficient, handles everything, even finds insurance.

I see you have SO CAL listed as location............so be very careful setting up an Montana LLC.
If you have a legitimate business reason for incorporating into an LLC OK.....but if you are looking at doing it to save on taxes/registration etc. do so with your eyes wide open. Many states have caught on to individuals registering RV's thru an LLC and have gone after them (and won) resulting in all the back taxes/penalties/fines. California has been very aggressive in pursuing folks.
So research carefully.

The Bennett Law Firm in Missoula, MT will answer all your questions about forming a Montana LLC.
As for having problems with California, it is up to you to KNOW the California law, and to comply with every jot and tittle of the law. If you do, they will not bother you.
Quite possibly the easiest way would be to NEVER take the RV into California!
Or, you could just move to Montana.
Good luck.

From previous posts I doubt that living in CA. you can legally setup a LLC and park the RV in CA. I believe that any out of state plate on an RV parked for more then 30 days will result in the DMV penalizing you for not registering it in CA. Check with DMV and ask about out of states parked in CA. or check their website. Both CO and OR have cracked down on LLC's on RV's and fined the owners big bucks.

I don't do a thing except pay the Law office fees on four vehicle and one trailer, and they take care of all the registrations no matter where I'm at. No vehicle inspections required either. Bennett Law Office will give you the standards to make sure you within the law.
