we have been going to the same resort for the last 5 winters and i think it is time to move on. the prices of rv resorts in texas are 1/2 the price of florida gas prices would need to be $9.00 a gal. to break even. anyone else thinking the same?

We have wheels so we can see and experience new places and people.
It is really easy to get into the same park every year because all of our friends go there and we only see them in the winter.

We like to travel to new places and so will spend a month with the friends and then try something new for the rest of the time.

Not going/coming back (to Texas) next winter,at least not the RGV.Too humid and too windy.Prices are better but that's about it.I'll go back to AZ next winter, unless I change my mind and go elsewhere.

This was our second year snowbirding, but our first as Winter Texans in the Hill Country. A little cooler than Arizona, but the friends we made more than compensated for it. We had to leave earlier than planned because of a death in the family, but as we left we made reservations to go back next winter.

We have tried them all(several times each), Arizona, Texas, and Florida. Florida still wins. We will be back in Florida next winter. Just so many things to do and places to go, including the Gulf or the ocean. We love Disney and go there alot and really enjoy Fort Wilderness. But, to each their own. Go where the spirit moves and enjoy, but go. Life is short and "I should have" is not an option.

We have been in the RGV the last 2 winters, will be going somewhere new this coming winter. It's looking like it will be somewhere in the southwest.

our plan for 2013 winter is to start in san diego and drive east until we hit the atlantic, then drive north, returning into canada around mid to late april
we don't want to sit in one place for the entire winter
this year, we stayed one month in san diego and that is the longest we've stayed in one place
loved san diego, but one month was enough; we were ready to move on
so many places to see, visit, experience!

RGV again next year. $1,000 cheaper than Florida. Pretty darn windy though.
