Did you give any thought to venting your batteries to the outside. Maybe they are vented but I do see cables going into an non-sealed open area.
So far all of my multiple batteries I have played with are mounted outside in the tongue area but if I was to mount them inside I think I would have come up a sealed battery case with vents to allow the battery fumes to escape to the outside. These fume will be very corrosive and possibly also explosive...
My fifth wheel single GP24 battery is installed is the front storage area and is inside a sealed box with a vent tube going to a front mounted vent to the outside. It also has a drain hose in the bottom of the battery box to drain any possible boiling over of the battery to the ground below.
Just curious of your thinking along these lines during your upgrade...
My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

i did consider sealed boxes, but the propane bottles are in this same compartment, and it is a pretty well ventilated area, i been looking for a nice sealed double box...the boxes i bought are all they had at a local store, so yes i am looking into it!

JERB - I bet you could modify those lids with a flex hose from LOWES and stop up the entrance cable holes with RTV stuff. Then "tee" the two hoses into on one line and let that feed an outside vent. LOWES has a bunch of items like this to use. Saw a photo of that done on here several months back.
My propane tanks are just a wall away accesable from outside doors on both sides of the trailer. scary thing for me would be our bedroom is just above this area where the batteries are installed... I even dont like to think the propane bottles are right under the bed either...
Everthing you did looks nice and neat... I did the almost same thing with my PD9260C Converter/Charger on my OFF-ROAD POPUP and mounted it stand alone like yours. It is about five-feet away from my battery bank. I took over a whole wall of a water heater cabinet there and have the PD converter/charger, two PSW Inverters (600W for my HDTV locations and the 1500W routed to an outside connector for my Shore Power Cable to connect to - poor man transfer switch), and an addt 12VDC fuse distribution panel (Blue Sea) to run my Ham Radio equipment.
I did mount my PD9260C horizontal on the wall with the hugh heatsink it has on the top thinking the heat generated would all go away from the converter. My WFCO Power Distribution Center still has the WF8945 converter/charger in it and I can use it at regular camp sites with power or flip the circuit breakers and use the PD9260C unit when camping off the power grid. The PD unit goes into 14.4VDC mode everytime and charges up my battery bank in 2-3 hours using my 2KW generator where the WFCO unit doesnt. I use BLUE SEA products for all of the fuse blocks and battery switches.

For boondocking I started purchasing LED lights. They are not cheap at $18.00 a piece. They say that I can run about 11 of these LED's using the same amount of power 1 regular bulb uses. I only ordered 6 for the time being and waiting for them to be delivered. I'm also looking at the 6volt batteries I saw at Costco yesterday. They want about $98.00 a piece for them. I plan on going to the NHRAA races this July in Northern California for about four days. I know the 1 12 volt that came with my 5er isn't going to keep things going and I don't want to keep using my Honda 3000 during the trip. Been thinking about moving the generator where yours is located but my 5er did not come with a hitch. I already have a receiver on the front of my truck so I'll use that for the time being. Had that installed when I had a cab over camper (TC) and had no place to put the generator. I did install 2 tubes under my 5er to hold my sewer hoeses. The rear bumper wasn't wide enough for them with the fittings on the end. They look nice and weren't too expensive at Camping World. Plus I just needed to screw the self tapping screws in. That I can do.

jerb wrote: the outer tubes are 24" long and i believe i made the inner either 20" or 22"....i cant remember, if they too long, easy to shorten with a chop saw, i used 1 1/2" angle iron bolted to the i-beam frame to attach them to the frame, to do over i think smaller tubing and 3/8" rod ends would be plenty strong, and again they do not fit real tightly inside one another, which is why i used 2 bolts on each, although one bolt would probably work, i drilled 7/16" holes in the tubes and welded a 3/8" nut over the hole for the 3/8" bolts to lock the stabilizers in place, i just have to remember to un-lock them before raising the jacks up, would probably ruin the gearbox or break (bend) something as these dont give!!
jerb did you say you have more pictures these stabilizers look great.
